It is tension adjustable and seems to fit guitars with neck widths from 1 11/16 to 1 7/8 inches at the nut.I have used it on Martins, Taylors, Gibsons, and Melbournes with out any buzzing or other problems.
My Kat Eyz capo is top-quality. A little different style compared to the Elliott, but I certainly plan on giving Phil at Kat Eyz more of my business in the future.IMHO, with capos, less is more. I have a variety in a variety of different materials including Elliott, KatEyz, Crary, Colorado, Paige, Shubb, G7, John Pearse, Hlavaty, Paige and some other yoke-styles showing no brand name. The yoke style capos (Elliott-McKinney, Kat Eyz, G7th Heritage) when they are well matched to your fretboard radius and carefully placed typically only very, very minimal retuning. That's the whole point of them. If you use a Kyzer or other spring-loaded capo that clamps down hard on strings, yeah it will pull the whole thing out of tune pretty ...
But they don’t like a lot of things. But polling there suggests two main camps, the hyper-expensive Elliot’s, or the very reasonable Kat Eyz. The nice thing about the Kat Eyz if you can get it custom sized to your guitar (same price), and I know some have had engravings, or whatever put on (probably a price).
